In order to listen to the show, people would go to www.tasteofthegoods.com and listen from there. After a falling out with the owners of that station, Luna stopped broadcasting for a while.
Then she resumed broadcasting, from her own internet connection. A friend at the time hooked her up with an DNS server and people would listen from stream.shadowhost.net.
Then, a small IRC server that Luna was an admin on got a new server, and offered her space to host her show there, and so people listened from practicallunacy.mystnet.org.
After MystNET went under, Luna went back to hosting the show from her own connection for a while, without the DNS, so people would connect directly to her IP.
In 2006, Luna started renting a radio server monthly, since she couldn't host the show off of her own connection at the time, and thinking, incorrectly as it turns out, that it would be better quality that way.
In 2007 , Luna once again ran the show directly from her own connection, and people once again connected to listen directly to her IP address.
Currently, Luna once again rents a radio server monthly. |
